FAQ
How does the HI-Velocity System work?
The Hi-Velocity System is a mini duct system. Preasure is created in the supply ducts and converted to velocity at the outlets utilizing the Venturi Effect. This creates equal air flow to all the outlets and results in unmatched air delivery creating a draft free environment eliminating hot and cold spots.
Can the Hi-Velocity System provide heating and cooling ?
The Hi-Velocity System is a complete home comfort system, which can be used for heating, cooling or both.
How does the Hi-Velocity System compare with a conventional forced air System?
The Hi-Velocity ststem will eliminate hot and cold spots which are normally associated with forced air systems. The benefit is enhanced with large, high cathedral ceilings.
Where are the best locations to have the outlets?
The outlets can be located in the floor, wall or ceiling, all three locations are equally effective.
How does the cost relate to a forced air system?
Well, " It depends ". An actual cost can only be given after a heatloss / gain on your home is done so a material list and estimate amount of labour time is alloted.
That being said there are extreme ball parks we can use. A forced air system comes in at $4.50 to $6.50 per square foot as an approximate. Then a properly sized and installed Hi-Velocity system would come in at $14.50 to $18.50 per square foot plus the cost of heat source installed. ( Normally a Boiler as used for infloor heating ). There is also a Electric Module that can be used along with other options.
